If you are visiting Osaka and love Sanrio, you absolutely cannot miss the Baby Mon Cher counter at Daimaru Umeda. I finally tried their famous Hello Kitty cakes, and let me tell you—they are as delicious as they are cute!
Not Just a Pretty Face!
To be honest, sometimes these “character sweets” look great but taste… just okay. But these? They were AMAZING. Since Baby Mon Cher is a high-quality patisserie (famous for their “Dojima Roll”), the mousse was so light and the flavor was genuinely professional. It was a 10/10 experience for both my eyes and my taste buds!

Here’s a little tip for your visit: the Baby Mon Cher counter in Daimaru doesn’t have a seating area. So, my friend and I took our cakes over to the 7th floor of HEP FIVE. We bought some delicious drinks at cafe hush and enjoyed our cakes there!

My friend was the one who found these cakes, and we spent forever taking photos before we even took a bite! I even brought my favorite Hello Kitty plush (in her chic black dress) to match the vibe. Everything on the table, from the decorated iPhone cases to the cakes, felt like a dream.
