I am so excited to show you guys my latest bag accessory! It’s Badtz-Maru in a traditional Japanese Yukata, and I think he looks absolutely adorable (and a little bit cool, right?).
Actually, there’s a secret behind this look. This isn’t just one item—it’s a custom combination I dreamed up myself!
The Story Behind the Look:
1. The Mask: I first got this tiny Badtz-Maru mask from a Gacha-Gacha machine. It’s so detailed, and as soon as I held it, I had a vision: “I need a Badtz-Maru plush to wear this on his head!”
2. The Hunt on Mercari: Since I wanted a summer theme, I searched everywhere for a Yukata version of him. I eventually found this specific plush on Mercari (a Japanese resale app). Even though it’s from a past collection, I had to have it!
3. The Perfect Match: When I finally put the Gacha mask on his head, it fit perfectly. It’s that signature Badtz-Maru “cheeky” attitude I love so much.
I didn’t even go to a real summer festival this year, but honestly? Just having this little guy dangling from my navy bag makes me feel like I’m carrying a piece of the Japanese Summer with me every day.
Sanrio has so many goods that it can be overwhelming, but finding ways to “mix and match” like this is my favorite part of being a fan!
